CAMBRIDGE CIRCUS 1988
A proud first for Single & Single, this blended malt whisky contains spirit from six different Scottish distilleries. Most of these – Macallan, Dalmore, Glenfarclas, Glen Elgin and Tormore – are from the Highland and Speyside regions, whilst Highland Park is known as an Island whisky. This combination of flavours is married by Oloroso sherry maturation, making for a silky smooth, incredibly well balanced whisky.
Tasting Notes
This harmonious dram is all sweet and perfumed on the nose, with fragrant spices and citrus preparing the palate for a rich bite of Jaffa orange marmalade; honeyed and velvety with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and dark chocolate. It’s a sublime sensation, sustained by subtle smoky spices, for a finish that never quite finishes.
